I only got into cycling for the caps

Maybe I’m in between opportunities, but maybe I’m right where I need to be. Wherever that is, I haven’t stopped working. There are interesting side projects to work on and online courses to finish. I feel I’m at my best when I’m working round the clock, unplugging throughout the day for mental snack breaks, and staying up late because sometimes that’s when creativity sparks.

When I see an empty index.html page rendering “Hello world”, I wonder why is this medium not being used in a more creative way? Think of it as an empty white canvas ready to be painted on, and everyone already has a screen in their hand at the ready. So what’s stopping us?

When I’m not staring at screens, I’m very lo-tech. If I miss your call or don’t reply to your email right away, I’m most likely out with my dog in a park or out riding on a trail. I’m still very intrigued by the sound of sprockets in my film camera. Outside of my phone, my Kindle is my go-to distractions device. I don’t watch TV so you best not ask if I saw that new hit show — because I sure as hell did not. The goal is to watch more sunsets than Netflix.

My yellow Labrador, Elsa, road and gravel cycling, Stoic philosophy, and low-key science fiction novels that will one day become historical fiction are a few things that shape my world view and day to day life.
