Audio syncing reel world madness
Does anyone remember the trailer for the 2002 film version of Miami Vice directed by Michael Mann? I seriously think about the sequence of gun cocking and loading to of tune of LInkin Park featuring Jay-Z’s “Encore” at least once a week. It was a prelude to the audio syncing reel world madness we currently inhabit. Yeah, I’m only referring to the trailer.
(Side note: I do not like guns.)
This was an attempt to pay homage to that sequence of clicks and chamber locks but the bike shop version. I’m not one to describe music, but that metallic piano fits perfectly with the clicks and clangs of a bike shop mechanic’s work shop. I needed to feature Nick in his element as a beginning of the season reminder to cyclists that they’ll need their ride in tip top shape for the coming months.
Nick is a true magician in the repair shop, and any video tribute to his skills would not do him justice. Worry free descents, smooth rolling on the flats, pressure and tension where you need it but don’t notice it, he’s the one who makes that possible.
