Intelex
As a web designer, one of the most rewarding projects I’ve had the opportunity to work on was the homepage redesign for Intelex, a global leader in EHS and quality management software. The centerpiece of this redesign was an innovative ‘industry wheel,’ a dynamic feature designed to showcase Intelex’s digital integration across a variety of industries.
The industry wheel was more than just a visual element—it was an interactive experience. At the center of the wheel stood an actor, representing the versatility and adaptability of Intelex’s solutions. The edge of the wheel was divided into 10 distinct sections, each representing a different industry: electricity, manufacturing, aviation, automotive, healthcare, metals & mining, construction, food, oil & gas, and government.
As users navigated the wheel, they could click on any industry section, triggering a video interaction where the actor in the center would turn to face the selected section. In a seamless transition, his outfit would change to reflect the chosen industry, visually reinforcing Intelex’s ability to tailor its solutions to specific industry needs. This interactive feature not only highlighted Intelex’s versatility but also engaged users in a unique and memorable way, making the homepage both informative and dynamic.
Beyond the homepage, I also contributed to revamping several internal intranet-style pages. These pages were designed with a focus on functionality, taking on the look of an admin dashboard to streamline management tasks. The goal was to create a user-friendly interface that allowed Intelex employees to efficiently manage their workflows and access the tools they needed, all within a visually cohesive and intuitive environment.
Working on the Intelex homepage and internal pages was a fantastic opportunity to blend creativity with functionality. The industry wheel, in particular, stands out as a project where interactive design truly brought the company’s capabilities to life, offering users a clear, engaging way to explore the diverse industries Intelex serves. The redesign not only enhanced the visual appeal of the site but also provided a more immersive and tailored user experience, reflecting Intelex’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
